possible through real, measurable goals and real, actionable policy.  Our Prosperity Six Pack gives policymakers and advocates the data-backed objectives they need to build a stronger Louisiana for generations to come. The following policies are the political meat behind our Prosperity Six-Pack.

5% Raise

1. Demand 5% Raise for Louisiana Workers

Strategic Policy: Direct Repeal Of Personal Income Taxes Over three tax years:

  • Immediate phase out of person income taxes over three (3) years:

  • No “adjustment” to existing personal income tax law; Enact tax credit against those taxes otherwise owed under existing law (most efficient repeal)

  • Tax Credit (Y23-24 1/3rd of individual’s tax amount

  • Tax Credit (Y24-25 2/3rd of individual’s tax amount

  • Tax Credit (Y25-26 100% of individual’s tax amount

2. Demand Community Safety

Strategic Policy: Re-Establish Public Safety In Louisiana’s Cities:

  • Trigger To authorize Attorney General to Supercede Parish D.A by State law; Parish Ordinance; Resolution by Majority of Either Legislative Chamber;

  • Attorney General’s Office supercedes Parish D.A. for time specified for all crime occurrences, for a period of no more than twelve (12 months.

  • Enact Pre-Trial Bail for multiple offenders and felons.

  • Dedicate 0.25% State Sales Taxes To Dedicated Law Enforcement Fund Under the Attorney General’s Office up to $5 M per year for compulsive mental health intervention; and, drug rehabilitation.

  • Special funding by A.G’s office or D.A offices to focus law enforcement on drug/gang criminal activities.

3. Demand 2% Reduction in Cost of Living

Strategic Policy: Repeal 2% of State’s Sales Taxes; Re-Authorize it to be Dedicated To Local Government:

  • Repeal 2% STATE Sales Taxes: (FY23-24 repeal 0.25%; FY24-25 repeal 0.25%; FY 25-26 repeal 0.50%).

Direct Funding

4. Demand Direct Funding for Local Government

Strategic Policy: Redirect/Dedicate 0.75% State Sales Taxes to Local Government exclusively:

  • 0.25% Sheriff/Municipal Police Law Enforcement.

  • 0.25% Public Schools (In-class teacher raise and Remedial Tutors).

  • 0.25% Police Jury for other local projects (roads, drainage, etc.)

5. Demand Parental Choice in Education

Strategic Policy: Establish State Standards requiring focus on historic subjects for public school students:

  • reading; writing; math; sciences; English proficiency.

  • Establish “Advance Placement” education path.

  • No “Racialization” (No “CRT’ and No 1619 Project curriculum).

  • No “Sexualization” (No “Gender or Trans-Gender” discussions).

  • Advance studies of Constitutional Freedoms and Capitalism history.

  • Trades, Business and Technical Training Courses.

  • Support Parish Wide School Choice (TOP’s like funding follows student)

  • Expand Charter and Specialty Schools and School Choice:

6. Demand Enhancement of Tourism & Hospitality

Strategic Policies: Support and Promote Louisiana As USA’s Cultural Jewel and Sportsman’s Paradise:

  • Focus on enhancement of public facilities for hunting, fishing, etc.

  • Focus on promotion of Louisiana cultures, festivals, celebrations across State.

  • Coordinate determination of public/private waters for recreational fishing areas to clarify proper recreational use of public waters (fresh water and tidal waters).

  • Enhance access to public lands; Increase limited access permits (hunt; fish)
